I know things have been really hard for a lot of people this year. These first six months of 2014 felt more like an extension of the worst months of 2013. I didn’t escape the punishment, trust me. So much of my life needed correcting that the universe felt it necessary to stack lessons on me all at once. And I worked with each element each time. And I cried a lot. And I prayed. (more…)

Pray for Each Other, Always

Prayer for my friends and family this morning:

“God in Heaven, precious Father who loves us so much, please watch over us all, your children, who seek you and need your help. Lord Jesus, son of God, precious savior, touch the hearts and minds first of those who need your help so desperately whether they invite you into their lives or not. Sweet Spirit, grace the lives of those who purify themselves to allow you to enter their hearts and bless those who do not know how to ask for your presence.

God in Heaven, Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit, I ask that you bring blessings of all kinds to all people, especially the sick, sad, lonely, hurt, and those who feel forsaken.  Show them some sign today that you are always with them, shed some light onto their troubles and give them a sense of peace that all will be well, no matter what.

Sweet Jesus, have mercy on those who are doing harm to others and have no conscience. Send your angels to them with messages that show them the error of their ways and teach them what to do to be right with you.  Bring some sense of understanding to minds that are not well and some kind of healing to help them get better and to stop hurting others.

God, please protect us all and bless everyone, everywhere. Help us understand you and give us the ability to judge and discern right from wrong, good from bad, and the ability to see people and situations clearly so that we are safe from those who would do us and anyone else harm. I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, the One, the Only, Amen.”

Prayer need not be even this verbose: one only need ask, “God, please help me” and you ARE heard.

Are you lost? Don’t know what to do anymore? God knows exactly who you are, what you need, and He is there for you!

God

God is ALWAYS there to help you!

Do not let your mind be troubled long.  Do not let your heart be too heavy in your chest.  Do not let the things that are today and not forever cause you to feel sad for too long or lose your wish to be completely happy!  Life is for the living and living we are.  No matter state of health, we are still able to get through the day to some degree and perhaps work on improving health or even attitude to deal with things like chronic pain or battle with disease.

Have hope always!  Never give up hope, please do not give up.  Tonight is tonight: tomorrow comes soon.  There is no guarantee we will wake up tomorrow but we pray tonight for one more day and should remember to pray for same for others.  If you are in good spirits and encounter someone who is not, remember the times you felt quite alone and would have welcomed even a smile from a stranger or a toothless grin from a baby in a shopping cart.  Share the happiness you have and when you are a little low someone will certainly share their happiness with you.  Pray tonight, my friends, for another day, for your family, for your friends, and even for strangers.  Pray for things like better days for all and cures for disease that plague so many.  Pray, always, even as a last word from your lips, for God to bless you with what you need and do not hesitate to ask for whatever it is that would help you in this life.

Pray and ask God to bring peace and hope to you and certainly for the Spirit to always remain close to you and yours.  Prayer seems cliche and trivial: it is not!  It is a REAL conversation with GOD.  No matter where you come from, what country you live in, what beliefs you were taught as a child, even if you were taught nothing: be still for a moment and allow the silence to be present and listen…listen…listen…and before you know it, I promise you will feel the Spirit of the One near you and you will sense a great comfort immediately.  All you have to do is be still for a moment, in the quiet, the dark, on your knees, even in your bed before sleep and invite God into your life, even say, “God, I don’t really know who you are — are you there? — are you there God?  I need to know if you are there for me.”  I promise you this: God is real and He is there, whatever God be, God is never, never far from you.

Do not stray from God, do not say “God does not exist”.  For even in thinking there is no God you are ensuring you will not know him.  But also know this: God is waiting for you and always will.  Good night, God bless you and yours every day with everything that you need.  I write to you these words in the name of Jesus Christ, son of Joseph and Mary, in any language you choose and any path you understand and know Him, Amen.
