I know I say this reading is for 11/29; I’m exhausted but wanted to get this out there. Thanks! God bless.
FIVE OF CUPS (reversed): Taurus, this is a good card to get even if the woman in this art looks like she’s anemic. This reversed card is all about letting go old hurts, disappointments, anger, and loss. You finally realize that holding on to the past is nothing but an anchor to it. You want your life back, you’ve spent your time (and likely too much time) sour and mourning what could have been; now you realize that what it could be is all up to you and no one else.
This card is also really good for philanthropic types and those who have an affinity for political causes, causes related to the underdog, doing environmental work, and for those of you who are trying to just make this world a better place for our children and their children’s children. I applaud you. So long as you are coming from a place of healing and not judging or dividing, you will succeed if this is your path.
In matters of love it’s an interesting card to see; someone from your past may resurface and perhaps in passing or in friendship. The message isn’t about what that relationship in the past was or wasn’t; it’s about just accepting that we are all people living life and doing the best we can, about accepting them, and releasing every past opinion about them and what went on. Of course, when we release energy the universe sees fit to fill the energy displaced with…more energy! So, if you can let go the hurt from a past relationship, if you are single, then it’s likely (if you wish) that someone else will come into your life. If you are partnered then its time to just let bygones be bygones and look to the future with hope and bright eyes; don’t keep looking back to the past because this card tells me you don’t need to anymore.
In matters of business and finance it’s very likely that this same accepting and releasing is bringing people into your life that will help you achieve your goals or at least share them in common. Anyway, I like this card for business and alliance as that means they will figure in the future and could even benefit you some way down the road.
In matters of health I would like to add that you may detect some sort of genetic difference that answers questions if you are looking. Also, incontinence is possible. Ah, wonderful bodies that we have; good thing we don’t need them in Heaven! It’s also possible that a former health issue has left you somehow changed and perhaps even diminished in some ability or function. No worries because if you’re reading this you’ve found a work around or will soon.
The most negative connotation of this card is that you are not releasing, not letting go, not forgiving others, blaming everyone else for everything you perceive wrong in your life, and are stuck there like a damn fallen tree in the middle of the road. Look; get yourself together and realize that this is your life and you are responsible for it!
Contemplate: A child spills a cup of milk, apologizes, and walks away to play with his toys. His mother looks at the spilled milk and thinks about the waste and how much that milk cost. She grumbles for a time, realizes there’s no crying over the milk, and decides she’ll serve her young boy his milk in a sippy cup container.
Challenge: Don’t get stuck in the past. Move FORWARD. If you can’t do that then just know things don’t get any better than this. If you want to complain about it, then sit at home and write in your journal — but don’t smear this victim sludge onto anyone else.
TWO OF CUPS (reversed): Aquarius, this card may appear to be about love relationships but don’t be fooled; it’s about any kind of relationship, including business partnerships, and yes love relationships too. Let’s get the relationship stuff out of the way.
If you are in a marriage or other partnered relationship, it’s very likely that you two aren’t getting along. Maybe you’re even bickering. If this is the case, don’t let it get so out of control that the D word comes up. I always say that a good marriage or partnership makes it through the worst of times. A relationship that’s not good, well…you know how it goes. Time is the best test of any relationship. I see these problems as temporary in good relationships.
If you are in a in a secret love affair, tsk tsk, you or your lover may pull out of the relationship. These kinds of relationships do not last, my friend, and they can cause lots of problems. On a side note, the Two of Cups reversed indicates sexually transmitted diseases. Be careful.
If you’re not in a relationship but you want one, you could be very frustrated by either the lack of relationship or just the lust you’ve got going on. Control that thing!
A very worst-case scenario of this card in terms of romance is infidelity and or trust being broken in some way. I feel for you, Aquarius. I hope this is not the case. If it is, just keep in mind that anyone who hurts you this way isn’t really worth keeping around. Just my opinion.
Now, off the love topic. In business and other matters, this is such a good card even when it’s reversed that it likely just symbolizes that something you want isn’t coming soon enough. There could be delays just when you need things to pan out! It is likely a series of adjustments the universe is making for your greater good. There’s nothing like waiting on a check in the mail or some other agreement to culminate so you can get on with it. Especially when it’s a job or other agreement that later results in your take-home pay. Just be patient as this energy is transitional and won’t be around long.
Contemplate: A man sits at his desk trying to keep his mind off the call he’s waiting on while he carries his phone everywhere, even to the toilet, to not miss a communication.
Challenge: Patience, Padawan learner. Patience! Let the universe sort things out and if you’re doing your part in every way, you’re fine. Anything that glitches up is just a little adjustment lesson.
SEVEN OF CUPS: Cancer, emotions got you down? Maybe you can’t even tell what your emotions are talking about. It is very likely that someone from your past has come up and you realize that you haven’t really dealt with it. It’s okay, Cancer, to let it all out. Just remember that the person who is sitting there telling you all THEIR problems may not see it coming when you unleash your emotions. Just make sure you are unleashing them toward someone who might understand you, not someone who is in the same pit with you. I realize that Cancer people are very sensitive and the thing is, they often try to hide their own sensitive spots under the guise or ruse of being some big tough guy or gal. So be your sensitive self but be true to yourself. Don’t make matters worse for yourself by a) keeping it all in, or b) unloading it on the wrong person. I think I’ve posed a conundrum but I believe you know what I’m saying. Don’t go talking about your personal problems with your coworkers or bosses; so often I’ve had to counsel my Cancer friends to keep personal life separate from work life no matter how blended the two become. KNIGHT OF CUPS (reversed): Taurus, when this knight appears reversed, you need to exercise caution. This is a card that indicates someone is going to try to deceive you, trick you into something, and they may come across oh so genuinely. The cups ‘people’ are very sweet, romantic, charming, and even disarming. But when they show up reversed, Lord, they are slippery fish. Speaking of astrology, these people sometimes show up as water signs (Cancer, Pisces, Scorpio) and this card is obviously a male, he’s younger than a king if you go by the usual ‘maturity’ that’s present with men that are kings. Some people see kings as men in their 40s or older, and sometimes they are easy to recognize because they are married, have kids, etc. I call it how I feel like it at the moment; this guy is either younger or he acts young. Being a reversed knight, I think he’s immature in some ways that you should be picking up on by now if he’s in the vicinity. It could also be a woman, of course, a masculine woman, if we had to really split hairs. (more…)
SEVEN OF CUPS (reversed): Sagittarius, this card indicates that your energies are scattered. It could be that you aren’t focusing on any one thing to get it right, or, you are hyperactive and focusing on so many things at once that something that matters is going to fall through the cracks. Further, this card could mean that you have the best intentions — you have a dream that you do want to follow through on — but you are feeling a little down and insecure and thinking you won’t be able to get it ‘right’, so why try it at all. This writing will seem full of contradictions so please bear with me; there’s something about you that’s a contradiction right now. And just as everyone knows that a Sag will flitter-flutter between ideas, thoughts, and even emotions (if you have a Sag friend, you know this), I’m going to try to appeal to you while I bob and weave with you! FIVE OF CUPS: Aquarius, see this image: what does it mean? Or rather, what do you feel it means?
FEEL — I ASKED YOU WHAT YOU FEEL IT MEANS. YOUR LOGIC IS OF NO USE HERE.
Notice I didn’t ask you what you think it means? Because I don’t want you to think. That’s right; I don’t want you to think!
Let’s look at this card anyway, for what its appearance is worth, because we are learning the cards anyway. This card depicts a sad person whose eyes are downcast. It’s not apparent if he’s looking at the spilled cups or if his eyes are closed. It doesn’t matter because it’s obvious that he’s thinking about the cups that are spilled, anyway. He isn’t looking at the gorgeous blue sky that looks like sunrise to me. He isn’t looking at the castle or the bridge behind him — the very bridge to the next thing he could do with his life. He doesn’t see the still, blue waters around him and he doesn’t even realize that there are good things growing around him as evidenced by the healthy, green vines on the tree behind him. Notice that the clothes he’s wearing are quite nice? It only appears that he needs a shower and to freshen up — he’s not dirty or in tatters. The only thing this person is doing is focusing on what was, what has happened; and because of this, he doesn’t see the two perfectly good golden goblets right behind him! What does this scene feel like, Aquarius — how does it make you feel? (more…)
KNIGHT OF CUPS (Reversed): This knight, when reversed, is over-sensitive and prone to escapism. This knight can also indicate false feelings as he is, after all, a bearer of messages about the cups of things emotional. He may even be hiding something, blocked in some way, or could be the blockage itself. We know that people cards could be another person with the qualities of that card, or, it could be about you, dear querent, and the same qualities about yourself that are either latent or emerging.
This could be about too many emotions overflowing. And it could be about letting the mind daydream too much, so much, that nothing important is getting done. This is the escapist and, obviously, it could be a person drinking or drugging their emotions, feelings, and fears away. That doesn’t work, Sag, and it won’t work now. Let’s consider that Saturn will be visiting you for the next 2.5 years to help you — yep, I said help — get to where you need to go in life. (more…)
